Not exactly sure why you would trade Nash for Steen. Nash is a much better player. You might be able to add two young forwards and remove Nash and Steen. You would just add picks.

The trade is for Shattenkirk and Steen. Don't see St. Louis entertaining an offer for Shattenkirk for anything less than Nash, Mcdonagh, or Stepan.

Nash and Stepan for Steen and Shattenkirk would be closer to (a very distant) reality.

Really don't know if Nash is much better than Steen now. And Nash makes 2m more. The excellent Shattenkirk for 5th D man and a minor leaguer? C'mon man
