You should know that while you were away, a ton of pre-2021 season posts were of the "Tampa is Cap Screwed" variety. But it's nice to see the first one of the 2021-2022 season.

My prediction is that they'll find some way around it just like they did this year.

Certainly they aren't screwed. They may have to trade a couple players they don't want to become cap compliant. But they really don't have any overpaid players Teams that barely make playoffs or don't make the playoffs and can't trade their players that aren't living up to their contracts are screwed.

They could trade Johnson and Killorn in the offseason and be fine with cap

Seattle is convinced to take TJ probably Joseph so there is 6 mil off and probably one other of Killorn Palat Gourde or McDonagh

Why? Palat Gourde Coleman Goodrow are better than Maroon. Why would you not take one of them? I can see them not taking Johnson but why limit yourself to Maroon? There are so many Maroons in free agency.

But it doesn't force Tampa to deal with you. You have the chance for a top 6 forward for free and you end up with Maroon?

Maroon is a solid player, cheap, and helps give the team a leader and identity.
