CBJ need centers more than they need Savard right now. Even if they're not rebuilding, I think Kerfoot+ is a solid offer.

Then why make a trade at all if your complaint is about "waiting for weeks". I guess a trade should have been made last weekend when the Leafs would only play 5 games for the next 14 days. The Leafs will do a money in, money out type of move, we have no cap space

Dermott or Holl. Savard is a better defenceman then both of them. There's also no guarantee they lose them. Leafs can pay a price so Seattle picks someone else. Teams did it 10 times over with Vegas. Why can't the Leafs?

But it's more than 14 days when the trade is made is that is your only complaint. 14 days from the time he enters Canada...at least one day to enter Canada. Then he sits in a hotel room or such, not being in game shape....14 days plus before he can even practice....How many more days to actually see an NHL game., and then getting back to his NHL standard. But again the bigger issue in so many of these trades, is the players traded for just aren't a really improvement at all.
We'll see but the Leafs truly have to win a trade before trading with an American team.
