Thats a helluva lot of quantity to give. I probably wouldn't take it if Im Buffalo as I would request Byram. Exchange Graves and Donskoi for Byram and honestly that deal is looking pretty good imo.

If eichel is available, sakic will undoubtedly give Adam’s a call regarding his price tag. Not saying avs are the front runners to land him, but I’m sure sakic will at least check it out

every GM checks in with teams, its their job. They checked in on Dubois as well but doesnt mean they were willing to go into trade talks.

Just in no way does a team who are as good as the avs, one of the best defensive teams this year and getting a great season out of grubi just blow it up moving 4 roster players and their top prospect at the deadline....and Eichel is out till the end of the season, so they are going to play scrubs for the last 1/4 of the season filling those spots hoping Eichel is healthy and back for the playoffs? The logic is just not there

Why break whats not broken in the first place.

I wouldn’t say avs are having a great season. They’re doing well, but they aren’t top of their division. Pens didn’t need Kessel back in 2015 either, but they still went for him because it put them over the top. Obviously eichel is better / more costly than what Kessel was, but he would put COL over the top, and Avs have the pieces that could be used in a Buffalo trade

You. have to dive into the numbers, just looking at the standings at a glance dont tell the story. They legit are just touching teams in terms of shots and playing lock down Defense as well, they have been getting goalied a bit but the process this year is outstanding.

You see what they have been generating and its a cup contending team

Their biggest need is a 3C type. Erik Haula and a depth Dman maybe like a Savard.. Dont need the big homerun swing

Newhook is the prize.

but those 1sts will be like 28th-32nd overall. donskoi and compher are depth players and if newhook busts, its a horrible trade for buffalo.

Easy no for the Avs. Eichel is injured and that's too much depth to give up as the Avs do need to field a team as well.
