Bruins have Pastrnak as RW1 and just got Kase and Smith. We're set. It's a top6 LW/top4 LHD we need.

You don’t move Patrick Kane for that, no way in hell.

I have a feeling hawks fans need to manage our expectations over how much Kane would fetch in a trade. Cuz there’s what he’s realistically gonna get, and what fans believe he will, and those are two very different things. If this was the return, I wouldn’t be the happiest, but it certainly is more realistic.

I get that and it’s a fair assessment. The only reason I chose the bruins was because they are coming up on their last hurrah in the next 2-3 years. Moreover, a couple Bruin fans on the site have attempted Kane trades as well.

Bruins will throw in Kase. Wouldn’t want too many RW’s.

Fair enough, from Boston’s position it’s kind of just going for it another time or two.

If this is the return you simply don't trade him

At the end of the day if the hawks ever wanna rebuild and finally move on, it’s gotta be worth it to explore any trade for toews and Kane. Toews especially with how pissed he is at the organization. I do agree Kane should get more, but no team in the league will give up what he’s worth in my opinion.

I just don't think you trade your two franchise players no matter how old they are. After they brought the team back from the dead they should be hawks as long as they want. Even if it means being bad for a few years longer than necessary.

Well, I am glad you said “as long as they want.” I’m not gonna be surprised if toews is traded in the next year. Cuz at this point, it’s either toews goes or Stan goes. Considering how everything has gone the last 5 years, who do you honestly think goes first?

Kane could get way more back than what you got there

Again, I gotta ask, do we really think between his age, salary, and COVID that someone would pay it? He’s a top five winger in the league still but people would only be paying for five more years of him. In these conditions, it just may not happen. I’d love if it could.

In this post you're getting more for toews than kane though. I get that you're adding value for taking back Flower but I still think Kane is worth a lot more than what you've listed on his own. I have no problem retaining either if it maximizes value.

I think the toews being pissed off thing is way overblown. And I think bowman should've been fired years ago. Guess we'll just have to wait and see

Couldn’t agree more. I don’t know if toews’ feelings are overblown, but bowman is beyond redemption at this point.
