Left side of the D is very weak. The forward additions may take time to assimilate. The whole eastern conference is stacked. I see them replicating last years results.

The LD is not weak. Chiarot and Edmundson are legit top 4 d-men.

As a Hurricanes fan I can assure you Edmundson is not a Top-4 guy. This team also lacks star power. There are a few up-and-coming guys, but there is no elite player on this team.

As a Leaf fan, I am stressed out about the moves Ottawa and Montreal have made this off season. Both GMs have done great IMO.

They've added a top line wing, a top four defenseman, and a 1b goale. Their middle six centers are young and improving. They could get there.
