Description
I'm pretty sure Ottawa fans will say no way. However, Ottawa does need a goalie. They get Mikko for two years, give their players some time to grow and let's be honest the goalie market isn't great. Depending on how Ottawa drafts JP could be a great fix...less pressure and he can grow with the team.

Edmonton may have to add to the Tampa trade. Tampa will get a great pick at 14 and Benson is a good prospect. I don't think it will be much more and teams do know that Tampa is in a bit of a crunch.
As to cap. Could be a bit of a problem next year or when Klefbom comes back. Edmonton will have to manuver a bit. Bouchard will have to go down and we may have to make another move. As to next year... Pouliot, Larsson, Kharia, plus a couple others come off the books. Edmonton will probably have to make a deal with Seattle to take Neal to make things fully work.

Why are you paying nothing for Ottawa to take russell he’s useless. He won’t fill 20 minutes a night for them, they’d do better in FA

The goaltending is worse, the 3rd line is brutal and will get slaughtered

Sorry I miss read the prospect you traded but I don’t think they want a goalie prospect nor need one for taking a cap dump, you’ll need to change the prospect and give Ottawa a reason to take Russell; Russell can’t play a solid 20 mins for them so they have no reason for him

I think the goaltending is at worst... the same. Mikko was very up and down all year. Greiss should be a slight upgrade. There are not alot of options. Signing Holtby would be stupid. As to the 3rd line...the only player traded that played(forward) was Chaisson. Bringing in Brown should help our first line. Unfortunately, we have to make do with our third and fourth line until we get more cap space and get some pics back. AA hurt us a lot.

A fourth and a prospect isn't nothing. Russells contract is one year and 1.5 million of actual salary for a decent 5-6 shot blocking d-man. Ottawa has a lot of cap.

Edmonton may have to add, but I can't see them throwing in Bouchard and the 14th. To steep. He may get an offer sheet, but why would a team do that knowing Tampa has to make a couple of sacrifices to sign him. Someone on TB is gonna go for less than they should.

If you had a shot at Sergachev you wouldn't take it? I think the benefits out-way the loss of another pick. Sergachev is only 22 and he's proven. Jarvis or whoever the Oilers would get still isn't proven and we'd have to wait another 3+ years for him to make the team.

No way Tampa takes that risk. They'd want this year's.

Out of the 30 goalies that played 35+ games, Mikko had the 6th best sv% last year. He's not a cap dump. Smith was the problem, but you re-signed him... Greiss's number were worse than Koskinen's despite playing in front of a much better defense.

Yup, your goaltending is bad.

Not sure what you're asking for, but here's the stat sheet:
