Description
1. Both players need a change of scenery.

2. A 1st to get rid of the money to Gaborik and Leafs throw in Johnsson to sweeten the deal.

3. Seen the trade a lot on here and it's a good move for both. I'm not sure about value with picks (or Geo's contract did it last and just filled cap space)

4. Leafs move Engvall to Oilers he's fast and big.
Engvall-McDavid-Neal could be a dangerous line.

5. Freddy (with an extension) is 100% worth a 1st. Bennet for Holl is tough sell so Leafs probably add a pick and/or a prospect to even it out.

None are final deals just ideas.

I like the isles deal for both sides, leafs would prob end up winning the trade but tbh I rly wanna see Ho-Sang succeed and he’d do well in a system like Toronto’s

Yeah I've liked that trade since I 1st seen it. I wouldn't even be upset if Leafs added to it.

Okay who is Engvall and why would you think Edmonton wants him? We’ve got loads of bottom 6 wingers and 3rd pairing D men, why would we pay for more?

If he had potential I’m guessing you wouldn’t be pushing him on us. McDavid and Neal do not go well together btw, and McDavid is really hard to play with.

1st of all Engvall has tremendous potential. He's fast, decent hands and has grit. I don't want to move him but on the Leafs he's at high a 3rd wing or 4th center. It's a waste of his potential at least this way Leafs get some value back for him. I moved him to the Oilers cause they desperately need cheap wing help for McDavid and Engvall can definitely fit that. I know Neal doesn't work but I couldn't think of Kassians name at the time and too lazy to look it up. Lol

That is a LETHAL top 6. Don't get me wrong it already was with the 2 headed monsters in the middle but now the wings compliment them.

If Oilers don't want him I left enough cap that I could resind the trade and still have cap space.

Markstrom's best friend in the league plays in Calgary and there are reports of it being a likely destination for him since VAN isn't offering him Expansion protextion

I hadn't heard that so that's fine. I've just heard Calgary is interested in a goalie and I hadn't heard Markstroms name linked there. I just didn't want to do another Freddy to Canes trade.

It's 90% Leafs fans thinking some combination of Kerfoot and Dermott is good enough for Georgiev, and then them banking on him as their future starter. Gonna cost more.

I don't know about starter but I don't mind a Campbell and Geogiev platoon. I don't mind adding to that. I actually reallY like Kerfoot and with the addition oF Malholtra to help with faceoffs I don't want to trade him. I'm also perfectly okay with offersheeting Geo and keeping Dermy.
