Unless the Habs have a taker for Drouin, trading for Ehlers makes no sense. Ehlers is a much better player, but Drouin isn't useless, so you'd need to have a plan to get something for him. Presumably, anyone thinking of trading for Drouin would also be in the Ehlers hunt, so it's not as easy as it seems.

Trading Armia was a big miss by Chevy, hangs on to plugs like Lowry and Perreault but trades a useful player for one year of cap savings that he didn't really need, just one example of Chevy's many misses.

Thompson is loved in MTL's locker room, you can see it in the handshake between the flyers and habs at the end of the playoff. He is a mentor to our rookies and they are talking about giving him a job in the organization after he retires.
