There is zero chance the Hawks give up 3 first rounders for JVR and Holland.

when you say final steps to the rebuild what does that mean? does that mean keep selling aging assets or does that mean try to build up your young nucleus we already have established. to me the Leafs need to start pulling out of the basement to create that winning culture that they keep talking about. by trading JVR for assets that won't hit the ice for 5 to 8 years that doesn't make sense to me. I want young players that have a good track record so we can start winning a bit

Gotta agree with LeafsFan. JVR, Bozak and Komarov are needed members of the Leafs for two year. Who really takes their place on the current roster? What's next, Nylander and Matthews get good in three years and their traded too for future assets. Winning/culture is important even in a rebuild.

Come on guys. It's OK to have this viewpoint but these trades are a joke.

None of the other teams would even consider these.

I'm not saying I agree with these trades but my point was we do need some players that can play (JVR, Bozak, Komarov)

True. These moves may have made more sense a couple months ago when UFA's could have been brought in.
