I'm curious, is Faulk playing on the left side? I don't understand giving him that contract if they are planning on resigning Pietrangelo.

Angel Pietro will stay. Jay B will retire. And Allen goes to new destination.
Enough cap room to resign him.

No idea. Everyone could use him, but few can afford him. I always default back to the team they originally play for but that just doesn’t seem realistic with who they’ve already got in STL. My three picks are Anaheim, Calgary and Toronto. All three have a need on defense and have the potential to lure a free agent in. With the exception of Toronto (who I still won’t count out) they could afford him too. Really hard to say though. I think with the potential of a ton of guys taking one year deals, any team really has a shot at him

With the contract termination of Byfuglien i would also include Winnipeg on that list. Also Philly has a lot of cap space and seems like a good fit too. However I doubt Anaheim makes any large investments on a 30+ defense while theyre rebuilding.

I would think letting Perreault walk would cover it

I don't think so. The cap is probably staying at $81.5M, and Pietro is going to get upwards of $9M annually. They also need to extend Vince Dunn. So even with moving Allen and even Bozak, they can't afford Pietro at the price tag that he'll command AND signing Dunn even to a fair $2M AAV.

Tough to guess, if there’s a CBO then he probably can go a bunch of different places. If not, then he’ll probably stay and get a smaller deal. I think he’ll stay for a bunch of reasons like his new family and how much he seems to love St. Louis. Also, it’s probably his best chance at winning.
