Let the young guys play

Created by: Bruinsbeatz
Team: 2020-21 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 7, 2020
Published: Apr. 7, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Have Fredric center 4th line with Wagner and Kuraly. Fredric had a great season in Providence he should get the call up.

Stud also had a great season in providence, he is definitely the future 2 center for the Bruins when Krejci is gone but with the depth at center we have I think he should play wing on the third line to get him accustomed to the nhl level.

Inject some youth into the lineup and create competition between young guys like Bjork and other younger guys so there is no complacency, play whoever deserves it guys will work harder

Get Bjork in the lineup.

Frederic will need to prove that he can stay in the lineup and not just by fighting.

Vladar $3M???

Studnicka seems ready, Lauzon keep him in

Seriously for the good of the Bruins' franchise Chara would need to retire after this season, Vaakanainen and Clifton deserve more opportunities

Chara is still one of the best defensive D. Plays big minutes and lead (if not for Carlo some games) on the PK. Leadership is also a factor.

Vaakanainen didn't regress but from what I've heard, wasn't at his best this season in Providence. Playing another year in the AHL, get couple NHL games in case of injuries/end of next season will be good for him. Clifton, he wasn't as good as he was last year, didn't play for two months and he's an okay top6 D. One of our Ds that deserve more playing time: Matt Grzelcyk.

You’re not wrong but i still see him coming back for at least next year. Chara is still an effective player and a work horse on the PK, but those young guys like clifton and Vaak would probably be in the lineup of most nhl teams theres just a lot of depth on defense. Plus Krug may not comeback so vaak or clifton would immediately get in the lineup next year.

Its a good point that with Grez I think he is being held back playing a bottom pairing role if Chara or Krug does not come back i think he will play a huge role in stepping up. I would like to see him with Mcavoy, BU teammate pairing.

don't see Studs moving to wing. Team commented early this year he'd only make the team as a center. They also are in need of a RS RW, yet never gave Studnicka a look.

I don’t know why they would say that, if he can make the team better why not put him in at wing. I think coyle is better as a center but you could have him play wing. I would really like to see stud make the team, i think he’s ready and could really make a difference if he plays wing or center. Hes too skilled to play another year in Providence.

I think we can see him make a transition from RW to C like Robert Thomas did. Started on RW, had less responsibilities and now becoming a solid two-way C. Especially with Bergeron and Krejci, and Coyle at his best when he's C, Studnicka could/should start on RW3.

I would imagine he's the #3C next year and Coyle will move the RW. Coyle has experience at RW and could be a great mentor for Studs

Pretty damn good:

You can get a 4th for Moore,
You can get Krug for a little less, about 500k too much,
Chara will stay for less (if he doesnt retire)
The biggest one is you are paying WAYYYY too much for Vladar, he can still get a two-way deal until he is an nhler

Bjork will 100% be a fulltime guy,
Stud will be C, Coyle is a more natural RW,

Again, this is good, just gotta fix those up i guess

Im so 50/50 on this. Hes a center, and coyle has certainly played a lot of RW, but you guys all make the good point that RW gives him less stress and Coyle looks better at Center. So I honestly dont know anymore. Theoretically, why not just make that the line, and then they can even switch it up on a game-by-game and shift-by-shift basis

Believe me, I have been Stud at C all the way, but Im starting to understand the other way too.
