I can't see anyone giving up that much for Bernier and have you seen Pickard play? Detroit would almost be better off with shooter tutor. There is no way the Wings resign Howard at $4M maybe $2M. He hasn't won a game since 10/29/2019.

I'd argue Helm has been slightly better but I get the familiarity. Sure why not.

Avs do not want Bernier, I wouldnt give up a 4th rounder for him, never mind adding a 2nd on top of that.
What planet are you guys living on to think he gets that much

The planet where since Dec 15th Bernier is 10th in the league in SV% at .929 on the worst team in the cap era.

Yeah, Filppula was a nice fit last year. I don't think AA is a great fit for Trotz's system but he would be so much better than Johnston/Kuhnhackl/MDC

jack campbell was traded basically for a 3rd. Bernier is not fetching a better return than him. Back up goalies never get trade returns like that
Plus Bernier has term, if Avs wanted a short term pick up..its that, short term, they do not want someone that stye have to deal with next season when they want to keep Francouz or if they dont will promote Werner from the AHL

Its like saying Kovalchuk is worth a 1st now bc he had a handful of good games, doesnt work like that
