Zboril and Cehlárik are longshots to make the NHL and Kuhlman is an ok bottom six forward. Not enough for Toffoli and the Kings taking on Backes's cap hit for a year. They need something that has the potential to fit into their top six.

TT 14G & 16A or 0.54 pts per game. Since the start of 2020 (6 weeks now) he's got 3G and 4A in 15 gms - my bad, he's on fire!!!!

Yeah TT had years past w/ 23G, 31G and 24G...point is, in the here and now, he's a declining asset. A rental/UFA @ US$4.6M per and not worth the haul posted by B2K11...Unless Krug is signed 20 min later.
Thankfully, Sweeney went to Harvard and if he did this trade he knows he'd be unemployed.

What he has done this year is what you should expect out of him. He's doing better than his last two seasons, but not as good as his 31g campaign 4 seasons ago. He is a 20-25g scorer (which is his current pace right now). He will likely not be a 30g scorer again.

2nd round pick would get you Carter @ $1.27M retention (i.e. $4M cap hit).
