Description
Crazy ideas for selling, it's all in the process of a long-term rebuild. Leaves us with 3 picks in the first round in the deepest draft since 2003, and good prospects (Samorukov, Dorofeyev, Diliberatore, Brind'Amour). And a 4th line center in Jankowski. Then, we can use some of those prospects and added picks to move up in 2020. By tanking, and offering to move up to a #3 to #5 slot, we try and draft Jamie Drysdale, who takes a RHD slot next year or in 2021 starting roster. With all these prospects, in 2 years we are a playoff contender, 3 to Stanley Cup contender

Suzuki maybe but KK isnt top 6 ready
at 19 he's barely NHL ready and we risk making him the 7th first round bust since Molson bought the team.
we need to give him time and support

i like the KK-Poehling bond they've developed as Stu Cowan was pointing out you see it with Domi and Suzuki which is great for where he's at but its important to note Poehling and KK bonding as they'll likely be on on that 2nd top 6 line together .

Danault and Gallagher should hold down 2nd line with Lehkonen
Domi-Suzuki-Drouin on top
Poehling-KK-Armia (warming Caufields spot)

2nd line is has 3 players all looking for contracts at the same time with 1/3 guaranteed to be gone .
Those who remain will then make up our 3rd line by like 2022 season

Billy739 I wasn't really trying to make lines and stuff, quite a few spots in the Habs roster are just....placeholders. Even on defense, by the time we content, I do not expect Kulak, Chiarot, Olofsson to be around. Like Byron, Armia, Gagner, Cousins, etc.....Just placeholders until the cavalry arrives. The only placeholder I could see having a future would be Jankowski, as a permanent 4th line center he would be great.

On another note: What do you think of the trades ? Good, bad, stupid, awful or brilliant I would love to hear comments !

Drouin---- Suzuki----Caufield
Domi-----Kotkaniemi---Dorofeyev
Poehling--Danault------Gallagher
Lekhonen--Jankowski---Ylonen
