Not sure who Ghost would replace in the lineup that would make the Leafs better.

Not a chance that MTL trade Drouin (our best player this year) for an overrated and overpaid winger. This is aweful

I am a Leafs fan and my only real thought is: No! Please no! Never! Lol. Kapanen is good (even if he has been lacking in the last week or two) and Ghost is just not good enough defensively to fill our needs. In my opinion, the last thing we need is another Offensive d-man with a relatively high contract.

The Drouin trade just isn't quite up to the right value as well. Drouin is a bit better than JVR and Montreal probably wouldn't want to take that contract.

I don't really see the benefit in the Patrick trade. He is on the IR for pretty much the remainder of the season anyway so whatever the return is will probably be less than it could/should be. Also, I don't think Johns and Oleksiak are good enough to warrant trading Patrick right now, even if you are also getting picks. I do think Oleksiak might be a good one to get in order to get a guy like Hagg out of the lineup though.

Overall, I think you have some good ideas because Gostisbehere might be a good guy for them to move and because they might need another top 6 d, but I just don't quite think you executed it right. Maybe it's just the Leafs fan in me that thinks this though.

I don't know. If the leafs think they can 'fix' gost, this is a pretty good buy low option with the possibility of a big upside. I'd seriously look into it.
