your both wrong, maybe edm says no but Bruins would take it and run if Backes would accept. The picks would be less then 15 spots apart.

As a Bruins fan, I would 100% be fine with the Bruins doing this and I think they would take it in a second if the Sense offered. (and Backes accepts)

Dallas is going to be better than you think. Those picks are 25 slots different. That D is only going to get better, plus they added Pavelski, who is old, but still a heck of a player & they should have beat STL last year. If you make it the Sens pick, I'd jump on it.



If they can navigate the beginning of this season & bridge McAvoy and Carlo, they don't need the money this off season. The only way I would do that deal is if it becomes essential to sign those guys, or at the deadline and it allows them to add a player with Salary. Next year Backes becomes a lot easier to move or buyout. They could deal him to Ott for Anisimov similar to the Callahan deal where their cap goes up but salary goes down because Melynyk is very Cheap.
