You'd have to get Mikko and his agent really high for them to agree to that contract lol. Kevin Hayes just got 7m and he's never scored more than 60 points. Don't think they'd settle for anything less than 9m.

At the term you've provided, you are probably looking at $9.5 million AAV, and that's before Mitch Marner finalizes whatever deal he makes with Toronto. And to @BuFfaLOFaN, Bowen Byram is NHL-ready. Whether Colorado chooses to further develop him in a league (the WHL) he's outgrown, remains to be seen. I do expect that he will be given a 9-game audition in the NHL at some point this season and surpass all expectations.

unless he is over whelmed at training camp, he should get his 9 games to start the season to decide what to do with him. Fully expect him to be on the opening night roster. really all depends on EJs and Timmins health. Would be wild for them to do 3 rookies to start the year with Makar Byram and Timmins but why not lets roll
