There’s a whole list of players, that would be on that line of questioning matching or not at the 10.5 compensation or 10.6 and probably secure the player your after with the cost of 4 firsts.

WPG can't afford that but neither can CGY so it's a moot point

Philly or mtl probably could pull it off, I think bergevin missed his shot on aho by 2 million, he gets to 2 firsts 1 second and a 1 3rd and that would have made them pause a bit, probably get to at least a 60/40 or 70/30 on matching or not, and 10.6 and 4 firsts and that probably gets it to 90/10 or 100/0 on not matching
