Description
Nylander trade? Is this enough for Calgary in a deal? Please let me know. I like the idea of improving our D while creating more cap space for depth.

Calgary makes sure Dubas is breathing and accepts that trade

u think? because I really like this trade for the Leafs & I am a Nylander fan just don't think it's worth paying $7 mil for a guy a winger at this point

I think so, considering they'd be taking Dubas out to the woodshed on this trade

Then no offence man, but you're nuts. I wouldn't trade one of those players for that return, let alone both.

Thanks for the heads up... Calgary begrudgingly acccepts lol....

This is so hortible. Nylander and Lilly for a rental and a middle of the road 3C to put Kadri on the wing? I think my head just exploded!!!

Don’t get me wrong that 2nd line is the best 2 way line in all of hockey... and yes I am including the Bergeron line, Sorry B’s fans the perfection line gets bumped to the two spot.

Toronto is taken to the woodshed like it was 1932 and nobody cared if the kid came back...

Marner's Defence is wildly overrated. Seriously he isn't actually very good. The secret is that Hyman has been an absolute workhorse on that line both offensively and defensively. It is why I am considering something like this as Zucker is Hyman if Hyman had hands (although I don't know what Zucker would cost to acquire): https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1260493

Not just Hyman but Tavares as well. Tavares 2 way game is highly under rated. Every time I here “we can’t trade another penalty killer” my next thought is TAVARES. He is by far one of our best penalty killers but doesn’t get utilized. Probably for good reason as you can’t play the guy 40 minutes a night... or can you??? Hmmm.

Marner is great defensively. But that is not the entire reason he is on the penalty kill, it’s the transition the other way. The same as kapanen. Kappanen is good defensively as well but it is 99% his backcheck.
