Habs will offer Duchene 6 yr 8.5M AAV and another team will come in and offer him 9M AAV.

Habs will offer Gardiner 5 yrs at 5.5M AAV and he will get an offer for 6.5M from another team. Report will show that the Habs offered the same contract but, Gardiner choose to go else where due to taxes and reasons. Phew dodged a bullet there.

I'm all for these types of trades. Not necessarily these in particular because they may be little off IMO but these types of trades.

lol

right now -

Shaw > Poolparty
Weise >>> Lucic (considering his contract)

the first is nice... but is it worth it? Lucic will become a real anchor in 2021 when we will need to resign EVERYONE ahahha (look it up) !

so switch Weise for Alzner then we got a deal.

Enough with Pulju already.

He's a bust. No way am I giving up roster players for this kid, unless it's a bad contract such as Weise or something.
As for a pick, the best I do is a 3rd.

But honestly, Shaw gives so much more to this team than Pulju will ever give.

Bergevin will do 2 things this off season. He will sign or trade for a stop gap LHD and possibly look to get a RW with Speed. Think someone like Ehlers in WPG.

Seriously doubt he signs Karlsson and doubt he signs Duchene unless it's for a good deal like 8 million or something. And that won't happen so...

Also he will want to see what Poehling, Suzuki and Teasdale can do before deciding on anything which is why I think he will not make any big signings and go the trade route during the season.

I believe Bergevin likes his current team and trusts the current roster. If he does anything, it will be during the season. If the Habs are fighting for a PO spot again next, he will basically do what he didn't do last season. That's make a trade to bolster the tam and get them over the hump.
