Description

Im not a Habs fan (or Leafs fan) so im not sure what the lines would look like - I just made them up as I went along. If Karlsson signs (Karlsson is interested in MTL as per Sean O'Leary) then Petry is expendable and TOR may be interested. Im not too sure about the trade value since there is a big age gap between Johnsson and Petry but I think this is somewhat fair

I disagree with the notion that Petry is expendable. He is their #3 D. Karlsson and Weber are #1 and #2. All 3 would still play powerplay and kill penalties.

Petry is the most reliable RD the habs have health-wise. If either Weber or Karlsson are injured, and the habs trade Petry, that doesnt bode well for their defense.

I get what your saying, but there is no way Petry plays 3rd fiddle.

Also we can't have roughly 22.5 million on out right side defense.

You trade Petry for a LHD and balance things out!
