Description

The plus: a good veteran d man in Martinez that plays a smart two way game, much like Muzzin.
The minus: getting rid of a great second/third line centre in Kadri; although LA is in rebuild mode I'm sure they'd be happy to acquire a reasonably priced second line centre in his prime for a 31 year old d man. Using Kapanen to get Zaitsev's contract off their hands. New Jersey has the cap space and needs depth on the wing which Kapanen provides. I'm very confident in Bracco's abilities to put up points on a line with Matthews. Or they could reunite him with Nylander and find a cheap third line centre. 25 million in cap space in 2020.

I appreciate the leafs are over the cap. but trading four starters to obtain muzzin. leafs are probably going to have a piece or two anyway but muzzin is really worth all that?

Four starters for Martinez you mean? Well four starters for Martinez, a 2nd, two thirds, and cap space, and addressing their defence, is it worth it? I think so.

LA already has a better 2nd line center in Carter. I like moving Kadri but they need cap space in any deal.
