leafs can get waaaay more for Marner, but even if they can they don't want to trade him nor does he want to leave

This is pretty awful... Sign and trades don’t happen and once Panarin and Bobrovsky are traded for Hoffman, Karlsson wouldn’t sign in Columbus. Also no chance that gets you Marner and he wouldn’t sign that contract. Lastly our 2020 1st goes to Ottawa for resigning Duchene.

Sign and trades don't get you 8 years? In order for Florida to give both Bobrovsky and Panarin 8 years this deal would've needed to been done at the trade deadline. You can only do 7 years not 8 years. at best you might get a 5th for both Bobrovsky and Panarins rights. That's about it.

Columbus can sign them both to 8 years and then trade them to Florida.
