Rangers won't give up their 3rd rounder, it's their highest pick in the draft.

I don't get it. Do people think Galchenyuk is worth so little? An aging Pominville on his last legs, two prospects that aren't that enticing and a later first round pick in 2017? For a young #1 center?

Matt Duchene just scored his first 30 G season after like 7 seasons in the NHL playing top minutes and is prime trade bait and Galchenyuk gets 30G in his 4th season in the NHL finally after getting to play center half way through the year full time. Nuge hasn't broke the 25G mark yet and he's being thrown around in big name trades..... Galchenyuk is bigger and younger and on a better deal currently then both those guys, maybe not quite as good defensively yet but how is he not in the same category of value at the moment being as he's already at the same offensive numbers as those others guys but younger and bigger?

      Pretty good group: (30 > Goals and 21< Age - since 10-11)

I like the NYR trade. Don't care about the 3rd either. I think I'd like it better if you just kept Vanek, you have the cap space.

Oilers 1st would probably cost Dumba or Spurgeon + Kemps.

Galchenyuk would be great to get (is he even available?). I'd take him over Stepan.
