Fat chance you get 1 and 2 with 1 lottery pick.

Agreed. The avs are in the 2nd wild card spot right now. You can get a lottery pick with that.
That being said. If you are not going to play Timmins, trade him to the jets, we would love to have him

Interesting... How bout Trouba for Timmins and 2020 1st (Col has option to keep 2020 pick but then jets get 2021 unprotected). Make me a counteroffer.

Timmins was shut down all this year. They arent "not playing him" he will need AHL time after missing a full year of hockey

Timmins could be a great top 4 D but his concussion issues are a huge concern to me. Trouba is a proven commodity and will accelerate the Avs into legit contenders. I'm generally on board with saving cap space and letting our players develop but getting Trouba would be worth giving up a good prospect and a 1st round pick imo.

How about a deal involving Timmins and Vesalainen?

If we trade Timmins it wouldnt be for another RHD. Avs would want a forward in return imo

How about Trouba and Kulikov for Timmins and 1st. (Timmins' value is very low with his injury issues so I want some assurance in the form of dumping Kulikov).
Either way, Trouba will probably not sign long-term in COL.

Vesalainen is not going anywhere. He is our best forward prospect since Kyle Connor. He might even be better

There isnt really anyone else I would want from the Jets that would be a reasonable return for Timmins

Yeah that what I thought. How about Jost? He seems to be struggling. How much would you want?
How much would you want to take on Kulikov?
Would you do a Perreault for Soderberg trade?

He is struggling a bit but he's still only 21. Only sensible trade is for another young promising forward in need of a change of scenery (puljujarvi?) or as part of a blockbuster deal.

I like Carl and he only has one year left. No need to trade him.

Kulikov could be absorbed by Avs in a bigger deal but they dont need him.

Unless Avs get him locked down into an extension, you dont give up a 1st and Timmins. Avs are not in the place to take that sort of chance with their high end prospects and assets. We are not fully out of the water yet when it coems to the rebuild. Lots of bullets in the gun with guys like Makar, Timmins, Kaut, Bowers, the Sens pick, but until they are here and producing. Cant take that risk on what is considered a rental in Trouba

Trouba has no interest in playing in the west, He wants the American East Coast and the NYR, Detroit, Tampa and Florida are his preferred teams.

Dude Trouba wants to play close to home hence Detroit, That's per his agent Kurt Overhardt. No way Trouba signs long term with Colorado.

Yeah for Kuikov, what would you want for us to dump him. How about Kulikov with Brossiot for a 4th? That is assuming that Varlamov is not resigned

Btw, What are the odds of him resigning right now/do you even want to resign him
What would be the price?

Did you even read the next sentence or did you just read trouba and start writing your usual replay

I guess it depends if we trade a defenseman in the off-season and if Varly is let go.

I heard there were some talks between the Avs and his agent but I'm sure he'll be making less than 5.9 if he stays. I like the 1a 1b goalie set-up. Grubauer and Varly have had streaky seasons and it's good to have another guy to step in when one of them is playing poorly. Avs can afford to pay 2 goalies good money so I wouldn't be surprised if Varly is resigned. Maybe 4.5 2 or 3 years

I like your suggestion of kulikov and brossoit for a 4th. It would work out well if Varly doesn't resign and barrie/zadorov is traded at the draft. Nemeth won't be resigned and I've heard Barrie and zadorov in rumors. Makar is looking like a big impact player coming in but the Avs could be looking for another D to fill out the roster. Barberio can't stay healthy so the 6/7 D spot is open imo

I was more thinking buyout but he is playable. Pretty good for a 6th/7th d on most teams
