lol. Why don't people take the hint? .. Toronto already declined Brown for Benning at the deadline, they're not all of a sudden gonna change their mind just cause Edmonton needs wingers. Brown has more value than that. Benning is a 3rd pair defensemen and you want a middle 6 forward for that? You're gonna have to add more. There's a reason why it was declined IRL already.

I agree with the comment above in some ways. Brown is simply better and worth more than Benning. However, could that be the basis of a deal? Maybe. The one that bothers me more is the Kassian one. Kassian doesn't have a lot of trade value, even if he does play a good role in Edmonton. And TVR is simply better. I also think that resigning someone like Chiasson could be a good idea so that someone like Colby Cave does not make the lineup next year. As for the Ottawa trade, I see where you are going but I don't think that deal makes sense. Lucic and Ryan are both very bad cap dumps, but Lucic is simply the worse player of the two. And Ottawa would not want to take on Russell and Sekera as well as Lucic most likely. lastly, I think a move for a goalie (maybe a backup) wouldn't be a bad idea. Or just bring in a prospect other than Starrett.

I think I understand what you are thinking but honestly, I would rather see Edmonton build more for the future if they make any serious moves at and around the draft. Not necessarily a full-out rebuild, but I believe that they need to understand that they are not strong competitors, so they need to make sure that they can be in the near future.

Does anyone really think Ottawa is on the list of "trade me to" teams for NTC Sekera, Russel and NMC Lucic.?

Brown is on pace for 6 goals. Lol. Stop overvaluing this guy !! He is a 3/4 line winger.
