In my opinion, that is an overpay for Hayes (especially with the clause on the 3rd, holy cow) and a not even close to fair value for Panarin. Columbus is looking for an elite winger + for him and Hornqvist plus a 2nd or 3rd line d man is not worth it. They would also need a 2019 1st, not a 2021 one. This team needs upgrades if they want to make it anywhere, but I don't know if these are the right deals to make.

Panarin is possibly of the market so no on that one also not enough. But Hayes move is overpayment with conditional 3rd but without it I like it. Im doubtful they would want G prospect tho. Lots of good ones within their system.

They want an elite+ winger for Panarin? And more on top of that? Thats delusional..why would any team trade their elite winger for an elite winger that will leave them in the summer plus lose other assets.

Way too much for Hayes. No way pit pays that. When it comes to Panarin, CBJ will likely keep him for a run.

I don't see panarin as being traded at this point. They are gonna go for it unless they get a really good offer for him. For what they gave up for MD, Panarin being the better player. I would expect 2 1st (one conditional) and a A+ prospect.

That didn’t really come out right, I guess. My point was that they would some sort of replacement for him either now or in the future, like a potentially elite prospect +. The + in my comment meant plus additional things, not more than elite. My overall point was that I do not think they will move him unless that are blown away by an offer. Also, Maatta kind of sucks to be honest, and him and Hornqvist is not enough. It would take a 1st, a really good spec and possibly more
