    Is Malkin that much better than Backstrom really? No, not too mention that Backstrom is making less then Malkin too. If I'm Pitts I'll take it in a heartbeat.

    Absolutely not. Although backstrom is a great player he benefits greatly due to the fact that he's passing to ovi. He doesn't have the "beast" level that allows him to take over games like geno can. Pens are not trading geno unless they're blown away by an offer which most likely won't happen

    its just for shits and gigs but i think getting fehr would add something caps need. also backstrom is very underrated but geno having an actual winger like he did w neal would make this interesting...washington loves its russians

    Ovie and Malkin have never worked well together. I would decline mainly because of the salary differential. Caps are set with their top-6 C's.
