Description

Managing the Cap after trades in 2018-19 to make a Cup run. See "Flames Deadline Deals" for what was done at the deadline in 2018-19.
TJ Brodie trade uses NJ but could be any team.
Bennett trade could be with any team.
Frolik and Lazar trade could be with any team to give that team a young fast forward while taking on a solid player with a cap hit. The Flames get rights to a RFA or a UFA who that team will have trouble signing. Duclair and CBJ used as an example only.

Rebuilding New Jersey aren't giving up a first rounder and more for one year of Brodie. Over the cap and roster of 21, this doesn't work

I don't see the Detroit/Chicago trades going through either.

There's no way Holland accepts a 2020 2nd for Howard, He already wants a 2019 1st for him. Which Calgary wont surrender. Detroit wont deal Howard without another Goalie coming back. So Smith would need to be included as well.
