Description
Lines when Pageau, Anderson, Chabot and Jaros are back.

If Gudas is made available, he's someone I think would make sense for Ottawa to look at. I think he's the exact type of defensive player to compliment Chabot perfectly. He brings the same toughness and snarl that Boro has, but he's able to actually back it up by being a very good defender. Putting Gudas with Chabot allows you to move DeMelo to the 2nd pairing with Wolanin. Another important blue line change is to scale back Lajoie's minutes. I think long term he can fit the role he's currently in, but I think it's too much for him right now. Drop him down to the 3rd pair and let Lajoie and Jaros build some chemistry.

Tkachuk has gone a bit cold one the Stone line lately, so I think now would be a good opportunity to see what kind of chemistry he has with our other superstar forward. We haven't really seen much of 7-95 without 61 also being on the line. I put Pageau on the wing because I think that's where he will fit in long term.

Paul and Rodewald have looked good whenever they have been called upon, and I think they both deserve a full time look on that 4th line. They are really good at cycling the puck down low, as well as breaking up plays with their sticks.

Once Anderson is back, I think it makes sense to give Hog a shot as the back up. McKenna has looked fine at times, but he's proven throughout his career that he's not NHL level. The sooner he gets back to Belleville and can take the pressure off of Gus, the better imo.

I think it works well for both teams. My big worry would be that Gudas plays a very boarderline game, which isn't necessarily something you want from a top pairing guy. You don't want someone that important on the blue line spending that much time in the sin bin.

I wouldn't worry about that too too much. His PIMs have been slightly coming down the last couple of years and hopefully a more prioritized role will continue to bring them down, if that makes any sense

Yeah, I'm sure he would want to make the most of an opportunity like that. If I was Chabot's D partner I would want to spend as much time on the ice as possible
