Still, probably add at least 2 mill for kap, 750k or so for Matthews, and 1.25 for marner

You really think Matthews will sign for more than McDavid? Matthews has yet to prove himself as a top 10 player in the league while McDavid has won consecutive scoring titles and the Hart. I think he'll be right at $12M. The potential is clearly there, but injuries have impacted his stats. Marner should be close to $10M and Kapanen should come in at around $4M.

Yes, he will absolutely get more than McDavid. He signed his deal 2 years before matthews will. McDavid got 16.6% of a 75M cap (12.5M), and Matthew's will probably argue he's right under McDavid, and ask for 15.5-16% of the cap. Which at an 83M cap is 12.865M-13.28M. He really should come in over McDavid. Or at least the same AAV.

My bad, I think I missed an edit, I was trying to give him 12.5.

He does lead the league in goals per game since entering the league. I think top ten is proven

No doubt that if the cap goes up to about $83M TOR will benefit more than just about anyone.
