If Datsyuk leaves, they will be very thin at C. Cheap replacement option. This assumes that they were able to unload the Datsyuk contract to a cap floor team.

I like it but id hold on to Eller I don't think all those prospects will be ready or if they will all pan out to be effective at NHL level

Goog looking line-up (young guys getting a chance)
Considering how much cap space we have i'd like to see UFA signed on the left side D to support a pretty green group (Beaulieu is a top four but i know nothing about Chynchrun). I'd also look at getting someone like a Purcell for the top 6 (signed for shorter term) to give the size/experience necessary to insulate and challenge rookies.

Signing another forward would be good I agree. I tried to leave a lot of cap space open due to Price needing a new contract the next year and Pacioretty the year after.

I just don't feel like they'll be able to get rid of all those contracts without any salary retention or cap dumps. Those contracts that your sending arnt exactly team friendly, and are not that great value for money, I mean if detroit is able to ditch datsyuks contract then whats stopping them from giving stammer 11 million instead of taking on Plekanecs 6 million contract. But hey, toronto got out of 18 million in cap hits with only retaining 1.2 million, hopefully bergevin can pull something similar off.
