Don't think this is a laughable trade. Maybe not the most fair but solid effort. Also I'm pretty sure they can get picks for those guys, might be a 6th or 7th but still a pick

Looks like one of the best D men on the team. Top pairing potential for sure (I get he's on it now, but it's just because they can't find a better partner than Keith for him yet).

Jokiharju has been quite good, but let's not put him better than Keith yet. That's FAR too soon. Jokiharju still has training wheels on a bit. I REALLY like his progression though!

Considering Keith's experience, I'd give Keith the edge, but Joki is a really good skater who knows when to attack puck carriers. He's still got his training wheels on, but I think we can both agree he's better than Keith was at that age. Very promising steal at 29 in 2017! If Joki's ceiling is that high at 29th in a weak draft, what is Boqvist's ceiling at 8 in a strong draft?

I like the trade, but I think the org would lean more toward bringing Panarin back as a free agent than Duchene. I think Duchene would absolutely be a killer center to play with Kane, but I think he'd be the consolation prize for missing out on the breadman.
