I bet Arizona might do it if you threw a pick in or retained some cash

Pass....avs dont need to waste draft picks on a guy that would beat out Cole, Nemeth, or Barberio as the mix of 5th/6th Dman on this team

Sorry was suppose to be 3 stars, clicked it wrong

Any suggestions for attending a game in Montreal? Safe to wear the opposing teams jersey and all that?

Benn would beat out all four of those guys.
Might be a challenge with Cole and Nemeth, but I know first hand Benn is way better than Barberio. Either way it's interchangeable with any other team

The team is rebuilding, if you wear an opposing teams jersey, prepare to get your feelings hurt, and if you try to stand up for yourself, prepare to get your face smashed in. but go ahead

Arizona takes on LTIR contracts which costs them nothing in very little in actual cash payout. Alzner is 4.6m out of pocket waste for Arizona. I'm disappointed some many still don't understand LTIR, insurance and what the Coyotes have done for years.

Not sure what you mean, Is he asked way to much for in terms of his producivity or his price?

Solid 4th liners get 2nd round picks all day long at the TD.
Plekenec got a 2nd + Valiev + Rychel in 2018
Sheahan + 5th for Wilson + 3rd
Lazar + Koskta for Jokipakka + 2nd
Boyle for Froese + 2nd

If you mean in terms of the capitals, a 2nd round + later pick is well worth being stacked on centers in order to go back to back

LTIR means it doesn't count on the Cap. Arizona still has to pay him his Salary. I don't really understand how insurance works though.

?????? What????. The reason that Arizona take on these LTIR contracts is so the insurance pays it....not Arizona. Otherwise Arizona would have just paid a player to actually play. OF course LTIR really doesn't mean that much for cap purposes. It just affects WHEN a team may/may no pay their performance bonuses.

a 2nd rounder for Pleky is not worth it rn unless MTL retains near half

Plekenec has a 1 year deal. I am sure Montreal is fine with retaining 1/2 of his cap. I gave you many examples of teams giving up 2nd/3rd round picks for 4th line players. It happens all the time. If not washington, some other team will give up the assets to get him

Barberio has been a lot better in Colorado than he was with the Habs. Its a fair point but hes been extremely steady in his 3rd pairing roll . Really it comes down to what will happen post TDL with Makar as he will be signing his ELC and be added to the team.

GIrard Johnson
Zads Barrie
Cole Makar

That probably will be their D pairings to end the season if healthy. And I like that especially if Barberio and Nemeth are your healthy scratch depth. The days of Avs need Dmen are pretty much over IMO

I would spread out the picks over the next three years. try to steal some random 6/7th picks and set up the next three years for drafting. Chances of you rebuilding off one draft is slim.

Even if he didn't fit into the top 6, it is always good to have an interchangeable player in case of an injury. You are barely paying anything

Last year was the 1st year of rebuilding through the draft
This year is 14 picks
Next Year 8 picks

34 picks in 3 years is alot of players

Agreed, just my opinion. Keep your higher picks (4th and up) to this draft or next and try to load by the later two drafts with 5-7 picks.

Dont see Habs depth Dmen as upgrades over the Avs Depth Dmen so its wasting draft pick assets without upgrading
