I think Duclair for $650K is a steal!!! maybe not top line but will be effective for the Jackets and will be in for a big raise come next year.

Nothing to lose, nothing to Gain! He'll never stick, coaches hate his work ethic. Torts will refuse to play and for good reason. I liked him in NYR but you can just see it wasn't going to last.

I think DuClair for league min is a great signing,

I can't believe Pitt didn't bring him in for that

I was just thinking... IF he does somewhat rebound, he would have to play with two defensive players WITH size and grit. CBJ certainly have the size.

Well, I think that replaces Ian Cole's offense quite nicely. Riley Nash already replaced more than the offense of the other two big departures. Team stayed about the same. Great work. Wow. Can't believe nobody else called. Minimum wage? Already? For a guy who scored twenty goals in his rookie year?

30 GMs just slapped their foreheads.

We should know soon on Murray, as RFA arbitration filing deadline is today at 5 pm.
Bjorkstrand is probably not eligible...he has less than 4 years experience and signed his entry contract before age 20.

As for the lineup above, I really like it, and think they will be fun to watch.
Very young team still.
I really wish they would have re-signed Cole (The Jackets probably did not want to spend more than $3M - $3.5M for him, and he got $4.25M from Colorado).

Also, I really am surprised they signed Duclair, but it is a no risk signing based on the value. The CBJ have said all along they wanted to give their young prospects chance to make the team out of camp, I guess it should be interesting to see how Duclair stacks up against other young talent such as Abramov, Thurkauf, Davidsson, Robinson, etc.
