Not only is that not a thing you can do, I'm pretty sure that would be considered tampering, and would likely end up with some form of fine or other punishment

like the moves not sure if Vancouver would make that trade. but would rather sign Tyler Bozak on a 3 year $3.75-$4M yr deal to center the 3rd line. and would trade Clutterbuck

His contract is up at season's end. All this does is ensure that Isles get to negotiate with him and he agrees to come on board to facilitate the trade

I think that's pretty reasonable, but buying out Clutter is more likely. Has a modest hit (sub $600k) against the cap and we wouldn't have to give up picks for someone else to take him

that is exactly what tampering is. they aren't allowed to negotiate with him before anyone else, and they could get in trouble for it.
