*Trading Kessel because of cap space needed next year for Guentzel and help on D

*Maatta must be included in the deal, if Seattle gets an expansion in 2020 we could not protect 4 D-Men in that draft

Probably the first Kessel trade that actually makes sense value wise.

I personally felt Pittsburgh should get a prospect as well, but i don't know CGY's prospect pool well enough

I figured Villamaki or Fox was way too much, but what about Dube, Anderson, or Kylington
I don't want Mangiapane because his name seems like a nightmare to pronounce drunk at a bar watching the game :-)

Still curious what others think is fair

I also thought this fits for CGY as well but curious what a CGY fan would think

Dougie is a 24 yo #1 right handed defenseman. Kessel is a 30 yo limited winger that had an attitude problem on one of the best franchises in sports. Calgary says no.

Don't think age has that much do with it. Hamilton is a UFA in three years and Kessel in four, so value wise could be a fair trade. But I do understand your reluctance wanting Kessel.

problem for me is trading for a RD doesnt make sense to the pens who have Tanger AND Schultz. a LW or LD is the piece they need to be looking for
