I am not quite sure why you would trade Dumoulin for Schmidt...how does it help Pittsburg? Is it a salary thing?

Also, that is a large deal with Florida and I don't think it will happen because they have a decent shot next year and they probably want to hold on to their solid defencemen. Maybe a better deal would be just Hagelin and Jarry for Haley and a pick? I am not sure...

The Bozak signing seems likely and makes sense but I am not sure that you should get your hopes up about JVR going to Pittsburgh. I would say he is most likely going to Philly, New Jersey, or staying in Toronto but I obviously am just guessing completely. I am not saying that they shouldn't try but it doesn't seem likely to me that they will get him. There are other good wingers that they could get though.

I am very curious to see if they ever go with line combinations like those... They are definitely interesting.

Do you think it would be a good idea to sign a backup goalie (like the Leafs did with McElhinney but only for one or two years)?

Overall, pretty good. I would say like 3-4 stars, so I rounded to 4.

I would love to see them sign Hammond or Gudlevkis.

Dumoulin is a bit of a cap thing but also schmidt has been great with possesion and zone entries/ exits while dumoulin was caught out of position a lot. Vegas could always easily send down dumoulin (with all their cap) if they dont like him and easily use one of their many highly touted rookie defensemen.

Id love to see JVR bozak and Kessel reunite here.

If Bozak signs for that much anywhere, It will be in Toronto. That's where his heart is and Toronto is interested in bringing him back

Caps already have Kuzey-Backy-Eller as their center depth, they don't need anymore. Plus Caps couldn't afford Brassard after his 1 season. Not worth trading a future top pairing dman for that.

Okay. Gudlevskis would be a good choice. I agree about the Schmidt/Dumoulin thing. Getting Theodore might be an alternative too. As for reuniting that line, it would be very cool but I still don't know how likely it is. We will have to wait and see!
