Talbots contract with one year left, And almost 6 million less than Prices is what you are worried about?

Talbot played in 73 games in 2016-17 with a 2.39 GAA and a .919 save percentage and 7 shut outs
Talbot played in 56 games in 2015-16 with a 2.55 GAA and a .917 save percentage and 3 shut outs

No way I'm giving up Leon for price. I don't love talbot but you can wait for Rinna next year when talbot contract runs out. Really was he the problem this year.he had been solid. Edmonton is closer to a good team than where they finished this year. Small tweaks are what you need. Get some depth on the wing get another defenseman. Don't start blowing it up.

the thing you dont get is as much as we need a top 6 center we arent about to give up value to do so just because you think we would rather not pay price when in reality we rarely hit the cap and over paying him is not an issue .(even with Subban's contract we had almost 4 m cap space , so paying Price isnt really a worry but losing Gallagher 100% is )

Price is seasoned and takes it in stride still managing to be a fan fav even in his bad season that pops up ever single time MB rebuilds the D (its happened 3 times , twice he's fired the entire LD)

first off you lost all credability calling a Goalie as awarded as Price a Back up .

Talbot on the other hand had his most obvious success as just that.
its why EDM's not a playoff team , their goalie is gassed by game 55 -60 and come playoffs has nothing to show but an epic choke

Price on the other hand without question is the best player on the ice for MTL.

I'm gonna tell you a secret. It's not that much of a secret if you watch Mtl games an can evaluate a goalie's performance.
Last year, Price was suddenly bad like this year for about 6 weeks. At the end of those 6 wks, the head-coach (bi-polar) Michel Therrien was fired and suddenly Price was doing good again (like magik).
After the GM did not resigng Radulov and personal friend Markov, Price has been losing games with 3, 4 and 5 goals a game non stop all year... Very bizarrrrr...
Unfortunatly the owner stated last month that Marc Bergevin is not going anywhere. So I expect Price will miraculously become again the best goaltender in the world in October. If not, he'll be traded before the end of Oct.

he is on a good team like when he was in NYR
on a team that is full of holes as EDM he's a starter sure but on a team with a chance at the finals he'd be back up
no team could win a cup with him as starter IMO
