    By the CBA there can be no extension in place, The earliest Karlsson can extend is July 1. Now, still want to do the deal?

    didn't he say cdh ? signs a contract pretty sure he's a RFA at the end of this season. I do see alot of different things on this site tho so I could be reading the wrong thing

    I said that extension was for De Haan. And I did this trade without regard to Karlsson. He just said he wouldn't give a discount. I don't expect the Isles to give him one either.

    CDH is a pending UFA, but that doesn't mean he can't sign an extension now.

    No it would not. That's ridiculous. One and a half years of a guy with no guarantee he stays for a literal budding 20 year old star with approx 5-6 seasons left of reasonable cap control? Crazy...

    I thought he was a rfa before I looked yes he's a ufa. I now he can sign any time I just was mentioning it cuz the guy said karlsson I was just clarifying it was cdh who was getting the detention and not karlsson
