INSIDERS:BOS/WPG interested in Maroon + Chiarelli’s ask price and Shopping List

Created by: FullSend
Team: 2017-18 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 15, 2018
Published: Feb. 15, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
(Via Lebrun and Dreger:)
Darren Dreger’s take on what Chiarelli’s shopping list, based on his “inside position” is:
1.) A Winger who can skate with McDavid and finish.
2.)A Top Right Defenseman who can help the transition game
3.)A 1b goalie who can push Talbot

—————————————

Dreger acclaimed that both BOS/WPG have “high interest” in Maroon as of late
Lebrun finished off saying, the reason a deal hasn’t happened is, Chiarelli is clear that his wants for Maroon is..
1.)A late 1st
or
2.)A top prospect who can make an impact sooner than later
He also said, every day he’s not signed, there’s more initiative to get him traded, but getting signed isn’t out of the question, he wants to be back in Edmonton. Given the interest in him, Chiarelli’s decisions could quickly sway to dealing him away.

I think from Winnipeg you get Nic Petan or Marko Dano and a 2nd.

From Boston I think Peter Cehlarik or Frank Vatrano and a 2nd

I know Chiarelli wants a 1st but teams in recent years have been hesitant to move 1st's at the TDL. Also think you get a decent but not great prospect for Maroon like the ones I listed

agreed on WPG though would prefer Petan to Dano. Boston I wonder if we could get Senyshyn and a third.

Wonder if Anaheim will take a look at bringing Maroon back as with Eaves injured there's a hole to fill that Nick Ritchie hasn't

Anaheim isn’t giving up a 1st or a prospect for Maroon, that’s for sure. Ritchie actually stepped up tonight.
