Getting a 1C

Description
For some reason this makes a ton of sense to me. Giroux isn’t getting C time in Philly, they’re both the same age but the contract differences offset the values. Patches can provide the same role in PHI as Giroux does at half the price and MTL gets a legit 1C.

Couturier already has, and they have Lehtera and Patrick that can play the middle as well.

I tend to agree with you that Giroux's future in Philadelphia will be on the wing, BUT, Pacioretty doesn't come close in value, at this point and even the difference in cap doesn't suggest nearly enough value!

.... you realise that MTL's first is probably top 5 ahahha! we do not need another Plekanec-to-be and an old fart
