3 40 goal scorers on the first line........great depth. an awesome shutdown center in Sutter, great defense and Vasilievsky.....what more do you need?

if you do the math correctly Jimmybooboo you will see that the cap space is there......3 million till the end of the year, then Green's contract is gone (- 3 Million) , Kunitz (-2 Milliion). Salary cap should go up about 4 Million.......so that's a total of 12 Million for next year......to re-sign Namestnikov, a few depth pieces......and a 2nd pairing defenseman! Seems like more than enough. Most of the core can challenge for the next 2 Stanley Cups, give us time to reload prospects . Expiring veterans like Coburn and GIrardi would not be re-signed......
