First of all Leafs aren't looking for another (terrible corsi (41)), slow of foot Left handed Dman! Hjalmarsson having a terrible year in Arizona, and they could be looking to dump either him and/or Demers. So I'd like to know what you think would be fair to Ariz. to bring in a guy that at best would be a 6/7 in Toronto? Garbage in/Garbage out!

If the Leafs don't want Hjalmarsson, then Arizona isn't obligated to lower the price just for them. They could move him to a team that does want him, or ,you know, keep him.

Hjalmarsson is haing a terrible year, but he's not a terrible player. And if Arizona trades him, it won't be to "dump him". They would want something worth while back. This is just a collection of borderline NHL talent. In other words, a pile of garbage. And I'm a Leafs fan.

Hjalmarsson was traded to Arizona for Connor Murphy and Laurent Dauphin. The trade proposed here certainly has at least an equivalent value. The problem is that there is no place for another left handed D with the Leafs. And we can't afford to lose a RHD for another LHD.

Arizona has made it clear that they are going to do another rebuild again, and wants to sell Hjalmarsson, OEL, Raanta, and Stepan (Even tho they just aquired them). Leaflet is correct in the sense that it didnt take much to get him, and not only that, but were giving up even more for him. These players are all players who can be flipped for picks or used to further develop their d-core. RHD is important to babs yes, but the cost to get them right now is too high. This is a cheap rental option and is a better fit for the leafs and gives us that stay at home d-man we need
