I’d do Sheary for Galchenyuk.

I’d add, too.

Sheary+Lauzon for Galchenyuk.

Chucky’s also overpaid by a bit.

Sheary+Cole+2nd is another deal that could be made.

Look at me! I’m actually having a discussion with a reasonable Habs fan! laugh

It’s non-discussion for PIT in trading Guentzel.

He’s 22, signed 2 more years at dirt cheap, works really well with Sid, he’s plays center, can score greasy goals, is an RFA in 2 years, etc.

He’s not having the greatest of seasons, but none of the Pens are. Sid’s not even on a PPG pace!

None of the above. Guy Lafleur was 22 before he had his first big season. Chucky has already had 30-goal year with a horrible coach. I'd trade him to a team that needs plug-and-play offence for a hot prospect. Drouin had 53 points and fetched Sergachev from a desperate GM. As bodies drop on teams that had high playoff hopes, there's a good chance Chucky would fetch a very meaningful return.

Better yet, maybe Julien will figure out how to turn him into Krejci. Better yet, let him be Tavares's winger. Could be lethal.

Maybe you need to learn how hockey works...

Galchenyuk as way more upside than guentzel

Maybe you don't believe me now but if this trade was made You wouldn't even remember guentzel name.

Galchenyuk-malkin-kessel would do a lot of dammage.

I don’t feel like arguing but I got 20 minutes until the Pens game so what the hell.

Contract situation

Guentzel: 1.5 years left on contract at approx 700k; is an RFA after
Galchenyuk: 2.5 years left on contract at 4.9m; is a UFA after
Advantage: Guentzel

Stats from 2016-17 to 2017-18(not including playoffs)

Guentzel: 83gp, 29g+27a=56 points, -6, 23 even strength goals, 22 even strength assists, 45 even strength points(that is Guentzel whole career so far), .68 PPG
Galchenyuk: 102gp, 26g+40a=66p, -21, 16 even strength goals, 26 even strength assists, 42 even strength points, .65 PPG
Advantage: Guentzel

Advanced Stats from 2017-18

Guentzel: 54.2 CF%, 3.4 CF% rel, 95.1 PDO
Galchenyuk: 48 CF%, -3.7 CF% rel, 95.9 PDO
Advantage: Guentzel

Playoff Perfomance(total)

Guentzel: 25gp, 13g+8a=21p, +1, 11 even strength goals, .84 PPG
Galchenyuk: 28gp, 4g+9a=13p, -3, 3 even strength goals, .46 PPG
Advantage: Guentzel

So now that I’ve proven my point, go learn hockey.

All these stats are great but you forgot something...

galchenyuk plays for Montreal and guentzel plays for pittsburgh.

I'm not saying that pittsburgh as a better offense than mtl but...
You need to see further than the stats (this what people who draft young player do).

I didn't want make you lose your time but please Just think about what I just said.

I watch games if that’s what you mean. I watch any game if I got time, and Guentzel isn’t some product of Crosby. He’s the real deal. Just watch his goals in the playoffs and you’ll see what I mean. I don’t just look at the stats, but clearly you don’t really watch Guentzel so I had to bring up the stats. Galchenyuk is a center, but can’t even get a center job on MTL. Guentzel is a center and he’s been playing center behind Crosby and Malkin this year. So we are also comparing a center vs a winger for 2017-18. I take Guentzel 10/10 times over Galchenyuk. Also, wasn’t Galchenyuk the 4LW for the ******* Habs laugh

Ok agree to disagree.

But if this was offered and MTL didn’t do this, I’d have serious concern with your team.

He does. He’s been playing center this year if you didn’t read what I wrote in an earlier message.

Not meaning to pick, I'm curious because I only see about 80 faceoffs fir Guentzel this season (and just under 50%), so is center a recent thing? Doesn't look like all season.

It’s been for like about 2 weeks I believe now. He looks good there so far. It’s his natural position, he was just playing LW because, well reasons laugh
