Not re-signing Chara?, still our best defender, Why not try and sign Stone much greater need, Krej. is a center not right wing. Krug has to be dealt cannot afford a bottom pair defenseman at 5 mill. plus,I personally would trade JFK before Frederick better long term we are not a physical enough team to win a cup with this line-up. IMO Acciari is more valuable than Heinen I don't think he will ever be a top six forward especially on his off wing. Moore will play ahead of Lauzon much better skater. Backes needs to go after his bonus is paid even if we have to give up one of our young assets to accomplish it. Sorry for rambling. In the new NHL size and speed wins.

I agree if you need to sign mac and Carlo and add pieces if that comes at the expense of finally letting big z walk then you kinda have to do it. I don't like the rnh deal and hopefully a year later JFK or fredric or stud are better suited to make an impact.

I think your sum for Mac and Carlo is in the ball park. It will be interesting to see how Sweeney and Mac's agent approach this. If you're Mac, a long term deal is going to be below your ceiling because he hasn't really hit full stride with all the missed time/injuries. He may want a bridge deal so that he can really get PAID in years 6-12, as opposed to taking slightly below market for the full 7-8 years. Management may want to lock him up at that lower number. Trouba got $5.5m on a one year bridge, Skjei got ~$5m per over 6 years. I think Carlo and Mac are going to cost the Bruins between $10-13m. There are nights where Carlo hedges on being the best Bs defenseman.

Chara is not our best D, doesnt look the same after his injury. And did you just say Acciari is more valuable than Heinen?!? Acciari has negative hands and skates with a fridge on his back, Heinen had 40-something points in his rookie season playing on the 3rd line

He didn’t say best d man, he said best defender. At least, I think he just meant the bruins best shut down d.

That being said, I like this. I like the contracts. I don’t hate the trade even though I hate giving up Grizz. I would prefer it be Krug to go instead of Grizz and Frederic. I like the Studnicka is on the team...I think he makes it.

The two problems I have are Chara needs to be re-signed, and I think Krejci has to be a center. I would put debrusk on the right, rnh on the left and Krejci in the middle
