Description

I think blackhawks are one impact draft pick and one notable ufa signing away from contending. Okay the defense is unexperienced but very promising and all the young guys out there should have ato very bright future. Sell at the trade deadline. I think hawks get a top 5 pick in next years draft and take Finnish RW Kaapo Kakko. Jake Wise is ready to be a Brayden Point type of player next year. Not as good as him but same style. Boqvist will be ready to run 1st PP and be a difference maker. Then u sign one notable ufa.

Tanking for another season might do the Hawks a world of good considering what the 2019 draft is looking like. There are a number of players in the top-20 or so that look as though they might be able to step right into the NHL in 2019-20 so you should seriously take that into considering. Also, why was Sikura assigned to the AHL, I thought forsure he'd start with the big club this season.

Sikura and Forsling dont make that much when their contracts are up both are still very unproven and wont net that big of a raise yet

I disagree. I believe they're far from contending. Partly because of their lack of depth on the blue line, but also because of that division.
