Go trough 18-19 season with giving young players like sikura, jokiharju etc time to adapt in the NHL and see what they are. It doesnt matter if we miss the playoffs one more time. Draft top 15 one more time and then we really are ready to be a feared group during next 5-8 years again. I think we can assume hawks is his number one target to sign because it's very uncommon that something like this pops up when a player is under a contract with another team. No smoke without fire. In this scenario blackhawks are almost under salary cap without trading any contracts like Anisimov, Murphy, and Manning off the books and there wont be a huge problem with trading anyone of them. So we can easily afford Panarin even with leaving cap space to resign DeBrincat and young D when it's time to do it. Guys like Boqvist and Beaudin will be ready in 2020-2021 season at last.
