Winnipeg can get way more for Trouba. Namestnikov's just a product of Stamkos and Kucherov.

As much as I’d LOVE this deal as a Ranger fan, I’m sure you’d have to include Hayes instead of Vlad to get the deal done.

Honestly this trade makes sense, if trouba isn't willing to sign long term in Winnipeg, this is what they should try and get for him. A cheap but talented second line center, a young defenceman, and a pick. Makes sense to me, I think Namestnikov is more than just a product of Kuch and Stamkos. He'd make a good 2nd line center and I'd love to see him play with Laine.

Never been reported that Trouba wants a big city. The dude just wants to get paid what he would get in a market that could afford to pay his entire worth.

That trade is nowhere close to what the jets will get if they move him. Any deal with NYR would start with Hayes, Skjei, or a player of a similar caliber and value.
